Carlton Anthony Williams, known to most by the name Cap. He received that nick-name around his freshman year of high school. Carlton always wanted to be the center of attention. In high school, he was a co-captain on the varsity basketball team where he started on the varsity team as a freshman. By his senior year of high school he was voted “Best All Around” among a few other class superlatives he was voted for. Carlton’s creative imagination began when he was about five years old. He and his brothers and sister acted out their fantasies while playing with each other through vivid imagination. Carlton had thoughts and ideas about writing drama plays in high school but never completed a single one. Carlton knew he had the skills and talent to become anything in the world. He worked jobs to help provide for his family. He went to college because that’s what everyone said he had to do if he wanted to be successful.
It wasn’t until his wife, Tresha got the opportunity of a lifetime to travel and work with the world-renowned pop music artist Prince from 2006 to 2011 as his personal hair stylist and personal assistant, and Carlton came on board in 2010 to work with Prince. It was the positive conversations and influence Prince had on Carlton that help motivate him to believe in himself to do whatever it was he wanted to do. Carlton equally shares any of his success with his lifetime partner, his wife, Tresha, their two children, son Andrew, daughter Alexia, and their three grandsons Austin, Carter, and Kingston.
